Life.

Life is like a library owned by the author.
In it are a few books which he wrote himself,
but most of them were written for him.

No Title

Tonight I cried for the first time in a long time. I have been thick headed not to believe crying doesn't do any good because it does. There is a long, confusing, and sad road ahead but all I can do is drive and hope I make it to the end without crashing.

This is all currently. Thank you for your consideration.

Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we are here we should dance.

Lessons

1. Often those who aren’t the easiest to love are the ones who need it the most.
2. Seeing children play can make even the bluest day brighter.
3. Money is not the root of all evil, fear is.
4. The secret to happiness is the acceptance of yourself.
5. Happiness is not based on external status, it is an internal state.
6. Money can’t make me happy, but self-sufficiency gives me the freedom to share myself creatively, without worrying about how I’m going to pay the bills.
7. Every man has a right to choose his own destiny.
8. The path is the way.
9. Coming is going, going is coming.
10. The hardest is found in the easiest.
11. Heaven and hell exist here and now, within your own mind.
12. Life is the largest stage.
13. Music is one of the most supreme expressions of life. It is art in it’s most transitory form. It is gone within an instant, and therefore, extremely precious.
14. Follow your gut, you’ll thank yourself later.
15. Remember what your mother taught you, it came from the most sacred place of love that exists.
16. Never let an argument last, never hold a grudge, it will make your heart heavy.
17. Forgive those that have yet to do you wrong, and you won’t have to worry about it should the time come.
18. Be grateful for this moment, it is all there is.
19. The source of most of your frustrations and anxiety are the result of living in the future, or the past.
20. Spend time alone with yourself every day.
21. Always go with yourself, never against yourself.
22. You have to be your own best friend.
23. If you don’t like what someone else says to you, you can walk away. But if you don’t like what you say to yourself, you can’t walk away. Therefore, if you’re going to be with yourself all the time, you might as well be nice to yourself.
24. The truth shall indeed set you free.
25. Lies only exist if we believe in them.
26. Even the most fundamental beliefs about reality are not true in themselves. Our thinking makes them true in our experience.
27. Your thoughts create reality.
28. The biggest lie is the lie of your imperfection.
29. Being kind is more important than being right.
30. Your heart is your best compass.
31. Cherish those that you love, you never know if you’ll see them again.
32. Your beliefs are a filter for your reality.
33. Love is the supreme expression of life, it is the essence and ground of all creation.

"What I've Learned"

I've Learned-
that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.

I've learned-
that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.

I've learned-
that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

I've learned-
that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned-
that it's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.

I've learned-
that you should never ruin an apology with an excuse.

I've learned-
that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better know something.

I've learned-
that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do.

I've learned-
that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I've learned-
that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I've learned-
that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I've learned-
that you can keep going long after you can't.

I've learned-
that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I've learned-
that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned-
that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.

I've learned-
that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I've learned-
that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I've learned-
that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I've learned-
that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.

I've learned-
that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned-
that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I've learned-
that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned-
that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned-
that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

I've learned-
that your family won't always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.

I've learned-
that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you are to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned-
that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I've learned-
that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned-
that a rich person is not the one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.

I've learned-
that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I've learned-
that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I've learned-
that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I've learned-
that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I've learned-
that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.

I've learned-
that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

I've learned-
that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I've learned-
that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

I've learned-
that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings, and standing up for what you believe.

I've learned-
that people will forget what you said, and people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Ten Rules for being a Human

1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it's yours to keep for the entire period.

2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, "life."

3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The "failed" experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately "work."

4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.

5. Learning lessons does not end. There's no part of life that doesn't contain its lessons. If you're alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.

6. "There" is no better a place than "here." When your "there" has become a "here", you will simply obtain another "there" that will again look better than "here."

7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.

8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.

9. Your answers lie within you. The answers to life's questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.

10. You will forget all this.

:) :) :)

Looking back there are times in life where all you feel is the weight of the world crashing down on you and you feel like all you have to say is a cold goodbye but just try to look past the darkness and into the light. You may ask yourself how you got to where you were but remember you were not always here or there so there is a way out. Directions are meant to be be reversed there is a back, forward, side to side, up and down. Most of the time we choose our own path to take but sometimes it is forced upon us. WE still have the ability to change our direction. DO NOT run away. Things may not go as planned but plan big, it could be a gamble but go ahead and roll the dice. Promise not to mind if you go YOUR own way. Promise not to lie.

You'll find that everyone no matter the circumstance wants a charm and a smile in a promise. Give it to them it will make them feel alright and chances are you wouldn't mind the same in return. All the things that you have seen will slowly fade away, but don't look back in anger or regret.

Smile like you mean it. Be friends with everyone who deserves one. Be nice. Be mean, but apologize after. Be safe. Be reckless.

but most of all....remember to LIVE

One Time.

When you are not so sure anymore whats next or if there isn't anything left for you and you are asking yourself what is left inside this wreck, where you going to go and what you're gonna do...Well let me tell you. Just breath. Relax. Its not the end of the world. Is it going to be rough, hell yes it will be. Are you going to die...you may feel like it but I will assure you that you won't.

Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you wish, but you only spend it once.

I digress...

I apologize for not writing a lot lately. I have been quite busy. At any rate life isn't about sorrow and apologies so I digress...

I am working on a thought paper and I plan on posting it sometime on here. It will be a little bit so I will continue on with the normal, rambling mumbo jumbo.

I had been thinking and stressing out a lot in the past week. I have a lot to accomplish and to complete. I am sure you experience the same thing. I have a recommendation if it all seems to overwhelming. Just sit back and take a moment for yourself. Take some time out, go for a drive or a run or whatever it is that takes your mind off of things. Don't worry, you have plenty of time. Its not the end of the world if something doesn't get done. It is not going to be a measurement of your self worth or value. Life is hard and full of tricks. Its about adapting mostly and not defeating it. Just keep that in mind. Most of all don't give up.

Good day,

Women

We don't care if you talk to other guys.
We don't care if you're friends with other guys.
But when you're sitting next to us, and some random guy walks into the room and you jump up and tackle him, without even introducing us, yeah, it pisses us off.

It doesn't help if you sit there and talk to him for ten minutes without even acknowledging the fact that we're still there.
We don't care if a guy calls you, but at 2 in the morning we do get a little concerned. Nothing is that important at 2 a.m. that it can't wait till the morning.

Also, when we tell you you're pretty/ beautiful/ gorgeous/ cute/ stunning, we freaking mean it.
Don't tell us we're wrong.
We'll stop trying to convince you.
The sexiest thing about a girl is confidence.
Yeah, you can quote me.

Push us down on the couch and make a move once in a while. We like that aggressiveness about you and we like the unexpected. When we know you're really happy, it makes us happy too.

Don't be mad when we hold the door open.
Take Advantage of the mood im in.

LET US PAY FOR YOU!... DON'T "FEEL BAD"
We enjoy doing it (Paying for you).
It's expected.
Smile and say "thank you."

Kiss us when no one's watching.
If you kiss us when you know nobody's looking we'll be more impressed.

You don't have to get dressed up for us.
If we're going out with you in the first place, you don't have to feel the need to wear the shortest skirt you have or put on every kind of makeup you own.

We like you for WHO you are and not WHAT you are.
honestly, i think a girl looks more beautiful when she's just in her pj's. or my tshirt and boxers, not all dolled up

Don't take everything we say seriously.
Sarcasm is a beautiful thing. See the beauty in it.
Don't get angry easily.

Stop using magazines/media as your bible.

Don't talk about how hott Morris Chesnutt, Brad Pitt, or Taye Diggs is in front of us.
It's boring, and we don't care.
You have girlfriends for that.

Whatever happened to the word "handsome"/"beautiful"
I'd be utterly stunned by a girl who greeted me with "Hey
handsome!" instead of "Hey baby/ stud/ cutie/ sexy" or whatever else you can think of...
...on the other hand im not saying I wouldn't like it either ; )

Girls, I cannot stress this enough:
IF YOU AREN'T BEING TREATED RIGHT BY A GUY, DON'T WAIT FOR HIM TO CHANGE. DITCH HIS SORRY, DISGRACE-TO-THE-MALE-POPULATION SELF, AND FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL TREAT YOU WITH UTTER RESPECT

Someone who will honor your morals.
Someone who will make you smile when you're at your lowest.
Someone who will care for you even when you make mistakes.

ENJOY A GOOD MAN...THEY ARE HARD TO COME BY IN A DAY AND AGE AS WE LIVE IN WHERE PEOPLE DON'T GIVE A SHIT....LONESTAR

Someone who will love you, no matter how bad you make them feel.
Someone who will stop what they're doing just to look you in the
eyes....and say "i love you" ...
....AND ACTUALLY MEAN IT!

Charissa Ann Sterman I love you!

For the rest of you who read this...I hope I have posted something that means something.
